Sivan Raviv is a TV reporter/producer with a Masters degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.

Currently in Israel, she was involved in the coverage of the latest war in Gaza for several news organizations.

Her recent TV work experiences include freelancing for The Wallstreet Journal (Video), CNN, and Reuters TV. Last year she worked with BBC News in their United Nations bureau and previously worked at IBA TV News and at the Jerusalem Post in Israel. In these roles she interviewed Kofi Annan, the former Secretary General of the United Nations, as well as covered the Israeli elections and subsequent war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006.

As a broadcast major at Columbia, Sivan operated as a “one-man band” reporter, writing, filming, editing and producing her own print, audio and video stories on deadline.

Her coursework included beat reporting in Flatbush and Midwood in Brooklyn, New York.

She covers hard news as well as long-form radio and TV news magazine pieces.

Originally from Israel and raised in Montreal, Sivan majored in architecture and film/television within her undergraduate studies. She speaks Hebrew, French and English fluently.
